VISIT TOP 5 BEACHES IN BALI INDONESIA

Updated: Jul 15, 2019

At first, the beaches in the area did not seem like a big deal after all we are all spoiled with Florida's clear waters and white sand. Here the sand is black and the water is rough, but then everything changed we noticed that there's a huge surfer community and you can sense their carefree spirit in the air.

Canggu

In the past years Batu Bolong and Echo beach in Canggu have become super trendy with many young Europeans hanging out in the evening.

It doesn't hurt that the sunsets are out of this world.

If the surfer scene doesn't interest you there are other magnificent options.

Nusa Penida Island

Book a speed boat tour and head to Nusa Penida island. You can do a little snorkelling depending on the sea conditions and the most amazing thing of all is that you can swim side by side majestic manta rays in their natural habitat (if the speed boat tour is able to find them...sometimes they don’t, so we got lucky!) There are some famous manta ray points around the island.

Broken Beach

This is one of the most popular destinations for the Island’s tour because of its proximity

to the Nusa Penida port. Broken Beach is comprised by a scenic coastal formation on the southwestern edge of Nusa Penida island and a hilly arch-like rock formation, which is the distinguishable landmark of the area. You cannot swim here but the views are to die for. Broken Beach is a great spot for travel photographers and panoramic view seekers.

Angel’s Billabong

At just a few minutes from Broken Beach there's a natural infinity pool where you can dip in and enjoy the clearest water you're ever swum in. You need to be careful when walking down Angel’s Billabong, the steps are very rocky and slippery. Also, the tide can rise at any minute and that’s when you need to climb up fast.

Tourist brace for a big wave at Angel’s Billabong

Kelingking Beach

My drone pilot dreams came true at Kelling Beach. After the Phi Phi islands in Thailand, this is the most spectacular place I've ever seen it is pure paradise! The beach has incredibly wide sand and when viewed from above resembles the shape of a dinosaur head. If you're planning to go down to the beach please think twice, the hike is at least 30 minutes and incredibly steep. But do go halfway down and take a moment to be amazed but what Mother Nature created here.
